PRLog -- Dr. Howard Lindsey is an assistant professor at DePaul University, one of the nation’s ten largest private universities. Dr. Lindsey has been with DePaul for nineteen years and is primarily engaged in instructing undergraduate students on African-American history and world civilization. He also advises history majors and hosts the graduation ceremonies. Dr. Lindsey specializes in African American studies and has more than twenty years of teaching experience. He has written numerous articles and journals on the Civil Rights Movement and is well known for his participation in organizations that benefit African-American academics, activities and awareness. Dr. Lindsey graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Ph.D. in history and is an esteemed member of the Michigan Black Student Association, the Michigan Historical Society, the Southern Historical Association and is a founding member of the National Committee of Black Students. He has travelled all over the United States, lectured at the most prestigious universities, been the subject of numerous media presentations and is highly regarded for his philanthropic undertakings. Dr. Lindsey supports numerous charities that benefit education including an endowment for minority students. In his spare time, Dr. Lindsey enjoys family activities, reading and travel.
