PRLog -- Elizabeth Hawkins is the founder and executive director of ONE Freedom, a non-profit research and education organization that provides education and training for US soldiers and their families through innovative programs that promote personal resiliency and strength. ONE Freedom offers veterans a powerful network that places stress alleviation and trauma resolution in the hands of each individual. Through a dynamic team of field experts, both military and civilian, ONE Freedom enables balance through personal development. Elizabeth has been in this capacity since 2006 and is depended on to oversee all of the organizations operations. This includes strategic development, organizational expansion, human resources, public relations, finance and marketing. Additionally, Elizabeth develops and leads training programs with emphasis on writing as a resource for managing stress. Her programs for veterans and family members include Writing the Warriors Journey and The Warrior's Family Writes. Elizabeth is an award-winning writer with 20 years of journalism experience. In 1995, she founded Journey Writing Workshops, a dynamic retreat model that uses writing as a forum for personal change and life direction. She has trained thousands of therapists, executives, health care professionals and writers to reach profound levels of transformation through the written and spoken word. Elizabeth has taught at universities, hospitals, retreat centers and resort locations around the United States. She graduated from Grand Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in education and has an exemplary academic history. When she is not tending to our nation’s heroes, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, reading and travel.
