Pyott is the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Allergan, a multi-specialty health care company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices that enable people to see more clearly, move more freely and express themselves more efficiently. David joined Allergan in January 1998 bringing more than twenty-three years of experience in nutrition and healthcare acquired through various appointments throughout Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Malaysia and Singapore. From January 1998 until February 2006, David served as president of Allergan and was well known for his exemplary leadership and greatly admired for his professionalism. Prior to joining Allergan, David was head of the nutrition division and a member of the executive committee of Novartis AG. He holds a diploma in German and European law from the Europa Institute at the University of Amsterdam, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Edinburgh and a Master of Business Administration degree from the London Business School. He lives in Irvine, California, where he enjoys spending time with family, cycling, gardening and swimming.
