But before spending thousands of dollars on web design and SEO work, look into ways to maximize your time (and money). Furthermore, don’t believe that aesthetics will bring you a bigger crowd (as far as web design is concerned). -   Create a Myspace page for your restaurant – 200 million users world-wide and growing; a potential customer base you don’t want to miss out on.
-   Create multiple blogs – one blog is nice, but 4 journals work better than one. Lets face it Google and Yahoo aren’t exactly friends, and most the time users are true to their search engine and their blogging methods. So diversify, and attract the most people by writing in several blogs.
-   Post in forums – this is a continuation of the blog idea, but post your RSS feed in forums and popular food and dining sites to further expand your reach.
-   Join the local chamber of commerce – this is a VERY effective means of big publicity for very minimal cost.
-   Find free directories to post in – DMOZ, craigslist… etc. find free online listing sites and post your site & business EVERYWHERE.
