Andy Giordano Promoted to Supervisor at Laboratory Testing Inc.

Sept. 9, 2008 - PRLog -- HATFIELD, PA  – Andy Giordano of East Rockhill, PA has been promoted to Machine Shop Supervisor, 2nd shift at Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI). The company has been expanding the second shift to keep up with a growing number of orders for testing, calibration and machining services. This position was recently created to oversee all orders for machined test specimens used in materials testing that are prepared during the company's second shift.  Andy had been with LTI as a machinist for 11 years.

LTI's Machine Shop prepares individual and bulk test specimens for mechanical testing from metals, many plastics and some exotic materials such as metal matrix composites, hardened steels and nickel-base alloys. Tensile, fatigue, Izod impact, stress rupture, stress corrosion, fracture toughness and many other types of specimens are machined on-site. The machinists also perform specialty services such as low-stress grinding and EDM. All machining is performed using computerized numerical control (CNC) equipment in accordance with ASTM A-370, ASTM E-8 or ASTM E-23 requirements and customer specifications.
