Casa Serena Open to stage battle of the seniors tour order of merit

Sept. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- With victories in Poland and Russia, a win at the Casa Serena Open would increase his total prize-winnings by a further €90,000 – sealing his chances of lifting the John Jacobs Trophy on his debut season in the Seniors Tour. Woosnam commented, “I’ve had a lot of success in Eastern Europe. I won my first Seniors Tour event at the Parkridge Polish Seniors Championship and then won the Russian Seniors Open so it would be nice to complete the treble in the Czech Republic.”

Langher is currently leading the US Champions Tour Money List and will be looking for his second victory of his career in the Czech Republic after winning the Czech Open in 1997.
After two successive wins on the Tour at Slaley Hall and Woburn – Gordon J Brand will be seeking a hat-trick at Casa Serena and the top spot in the Order of Merit.
