Internet Personality Makes Public His Inner Struggles

June 9, 2008 - PRLog -- Sarasota, FL -     Matthew Cochran, political commentator and talk radio host has released his first book of poetry, now available for purchase on Amazon.com in both paperback format and Kindle reader digital format.
  Cochran composed the book of poems from his personal journal. It totals 24 pages and includes brief explanations of where Matthew was in his life's journey at the time of each writing. Some poems were written in the midst of struggle, others were written during reflection on such times.
  The decision to actually make these writings public for all to see came after much contemplation. The author remarked, "I decided that despite the fact that my poems are very intimate and personal, I should make them public because people might benefit from seeing my inner struggles and knowing that they are not alone." The theme of the collection of poems is light. To be more specific, the theme is a journey from a life of darkness to living in the light and salvation of Jesus Christ.
  Matthew Cochran, a long time Christian, found himself in a dark place at one point in his life, no longer living in the pattern in which he was raised. "I found myself just very unhappy at times. I struggled to stop doing things I knew I shouldn't be doing and I couldn't seem to force myself to do things I knew I should be doing. It tormented me." Through a friend, Cochran found his way back to the path he was looking for all along. "Light: a collection of short poems" is a look within a man who found his way back to the light.
