Follow on Google News | Desk from set of hit movie Iron Man on display at NeoCon 2008A custom light box table designed for the set of the blockbuster movie Iron Man will be on display at the National Exhibition of Contract Furnishings (NeoCon) in Chicago on June 9 through 11.
By: LINAK Since its release on May 2, Iron Man has grossed almost half a billion dollars world-wide. The movie stars Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, a wealthy businessman and inventor, who builds a powerful armored suit to escape captivity and later decides to use his new technology to fight against evil, in the form of Iron Man. The cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. LINAK had two height adjustable tables on set of the Iron Man movie that can be seen in the lab and home of the main character. The desk that will be on display, in LINAK booth #4072, at NeoCon is a height adjustable and tilting drafting table and was featured in the lab of the engineering genius/super hero. In several scenes, Stark is positioned over and around the table as he designs and builds his Iron Man armor. Iron Man Director Jon Favreau, an acclaimed director/actor with credits including Zathura, Elf, The Break-Up, Rudy, and Friends, autographed the desk. In addition to the Iron Man movie, LINAK has placed height adjustable desks and conference tables using their legs on the sets of CSI: New York, Eli Stone, CHUCK, House, and other upcoming movies and television shows. The signed desk will be on display in booth #4072 at NeoCon 2008, June 9-11, in Chicago.
