Pediatricians Recommend All-Natural Anti-Bug Spray That Works Better Than Deet!

Pediatricians are now recommending Skedattle, a new, all-natural anti-bug formulation that provides better protection without Deet, based on independent lab test.
May 19, 2008 - PRLog -- Pediatricians from Florida to California are recommending a new, all-natural mosquito repellent for their young patients. The 100% natural anti-bug spray known as Skedattle has recently proven to offer better protection from mosquitoes and other biting insects in lab tests, without the use of Deet or chemical additives.

The unique formula is produced and distributed by Mexitan Products, who also produce and distribute a popular brand of all natural sun care products, in response to their desire to stop mosquitoes without spraying chemicals on playgrounds and family backyards.

Instead of spraying huge areas of land and backyards with chemical substances, now there is a natural formula that can be applied to the skin. It’s a choice between combating nature with chemical sprays vs. protecting the body with natural ingredients. “This way the environment, people and pets aren’t being subjected to these chemical substances.”, according to Ron and Sandra Kleier, company owners.   Skedattle is biodegradable and eco-friendly, without the potentially-dangerous chemicals that traditional repellents have in them.

The CDC states the following on their Web site: "The AAP (The American Academy of Pediatrics) and other experts suggest using repellent with low concentrations of DEET on infants over two months old. Other guidelines suggest using repellents containing DEET only after children are two years of age." This recommendation has left parents of young children looking for an effective alternative.  Research has indicated that DEET can be hazardous to your health.

After extensive testing, Mexitan Products struck upon a unique combination of several all natural ingredients, that when combined, proved especially effective in repelling mosquitoes and other biting insects. Though based on the use of natural oils, the formula is non greasy and does not stain clothes.

In perhaps the most startling development, in an independent lab test of Skedattle vs. a product containing 100% Deet, Skedattle proved more effective. According to the lab results, unprotected subjects received an average of 16 bites per hour. Subjects using products containing Deet received an average of 2.78 bites per hour, while the Skedattle test subjects received less than one bite per hour, (approximately 1/5 of one bite per hour). The test, conducted by BassFan Lab, (operated by BassFan LLC) involved three successive test periods over 72 hours.

Word of the product has spread fast, due in part to parental concerns about the use of chemical sprays on their children.  There’s also been a lot of interest from sportsmen, who say  that chemical based sprays weaken or melt their fishing lines.  Skedattle is an all natural product that will help protect from West Nile virus, encephalitis and other mosquito borne illnesses, without the use of chemical additives.

In related news, Mexitan Products recently launched their new SPF 50 sunscreen lotion, which is 100% natural and contains no harsh chemicals.  Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the importance of eliminating harsh chemicals from  their daily lives, as well as using biodegradable products that are eco-friendly and are not threatening to coral reefs and the environment.  This summer, Mexitan will begin offering a 100% natural moisturizing lotion to rejuvenate skin cells and give skin a healthy and silkier appearance.

One of the world’s top healthy living websites, , is now including some of Mexitan’s unique items on their internet offering of all natural products, labeled with Dr. Mercola’s highly-respected recommendation.  Dr. Mercola’s Bug Off and Mercola’s SPF 30 sunscreen lotion is now available online!
