Israeli Diamond Portal Reports : Certifigate Culprits Must be Prosecuted Says DMIA

March 20, 2008 - PRLog -- The Diamond Manufacturers and Importers Association of America (DMIA) has expressed its dissatisfaction with the prosecutors’ lack of action in the matter of the GIA “Certifigate” scandal which surfaced in 2005.

In a letter sent by the DMIA last month to the prosecuting attorneys in the case, the organization expressed its dismay at the scandal and its concern as to how it will affect the diamond industry and consumer confidence.

The DMIA also strongly encouraged full prosecution of any wrongdoing included the individuals suspected of fraud.
