CollegeSurfing.com Provides Featured School Program to Interested Students, Educational Institutions, and other Visitors

Feb. 27, 2008 - PRLog -- Does discovering a new tasty dish make your day? Do you enjoy organizing and pulling off a large group meal? Well if you're interested in cooking up a good Career with these talents, the key ingredient could lie with a culinary school. From management novices to baking pros, Culinary schools have helped launch people from all walks of life into a variety of restaurant-related fields. And with the proper education from a reputable institution you too could find your way from in front of the computer, into the kitchen.

At the Arizona Culinary Institute (Scottsdale, Arizona) students are already mixing up the right education. Established in 2001, this culinary school offers a diploma program in culinary arts, baking, and restaurant management. With an enrollment and tuition payment at this culinary school, students will receive everything from proper cooking duds -- including five chef's coats and two cloth hats -- to textbooks and Dexter-Russell Connoisseur series set of knives.

Taught over a period of nine months, the culinary arts, baking, and restaurant management program covers traditional cooking and baking techniques as well as additional subjects like nutrition, restaurant operations, and saucier and meat fabrication. Rather than having to wait several months to enroll in a new academic term, Arizona Culinary Institute (http://www.collegesurfing.com/clickcount.php?id=11712398&...) begins a new basic culinary arts class every six weeks. Students then continue taking courses Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, for six months.

While students' must finish their instruction before they can participate in a three-month paid Internship, Arizona Culinary Institute allows plenty of opportunities for hands-on training in the meantime. Classes are intimate, with no more than 20 students enrolled in each, and students learn both through classroom lessons and first-hand practice in five professional-style kitchens. Students even get an insider's look into the mechanics of a running a restaurant thanks to Arizona Culinary Institute's student-run du Jour Restaurant. Serving the public and student body alike, du Jour Restaurant challenges students with menus that change daily and a clientele that expects a fine dining experience.

As for students who need to maintain employment during the course of their schooling, Arizona Culinary Institute's Job Placement Department helps them to land an industry-related position with hours that accommodate the culinary school's class schedule. (Students who require help with tuition will also be happy to know that the culinary school offers its own scholarships and Financial Aid to eligible students.) Boasting a collection of thousands of potential employers, the Job Placement Department also helps students find jobs when they graduate and for years afterward.

If you want to get a jump on all that Arizona Culinary Institute has to offer, it's recommended that you apply early in order to make the cut-off. All you'll need is a high school diploma or GED in order to apply.
