Richport Properties Opens Brookline: First EasyLiving Home Community in Newton County

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Nov. 1 at the new Brookline subdivision, Covington Mayor Sam Ramsey, Newton County Chairman Aaron Varner and representatives of the Covington-Newton Chamber of Commerce and the Newton County Home Builders Association joined Richport representatives and Bonnie Bonham, Director of EasyLiving Homecm, to celebrate the continued expansion of the EasyLiving Homecm program and the Grand Opening of Brookline.

The cottage-style homes will range from 1,500 to 2,300 square feet, and 31 of the homes will be located along the fairways of the Indian Creek Golf Club. Phase I of the community will include 64 homes, 15 of which will offer views of the Indian Creek Golf Club fairways and, as with all homes along the fairways, include a one year membership to the course.

Homeowners will enjoy the array of features the plans include such as solid surface countertops, master on main plans, wide doorways, easy entry exterior doors and three to four bedroom floor plans. In addition, homeowners may relax on their large front porches in the evenings and chat with neighbors as they take a stroll through the neighborhood. All homes also include gas lanterns, routine lawn care, waste service, exterior maintenance of homes and plenty of upgrade options.

Other community amenities include Covington Family YMCA memberships, landscaped pocket parks and sidewalks throughout. In addition to the close proximity to downtown Covington and Indian Creek Golf Club, homeowners may also enjoy easy access to Interstate 20.
