New World Record Record Bicycle Parade

4800 bicycles in Fort Collins, Colorado. Crushing the previous record of 1910 people in Taiwan. It was filmed by many camera crews, and everyone seemed to have the time of their lives. All to promote bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation

Sept. 25, 2007 - PRLog -- Thats right. A new World Record Bicycle Parade. On Saturday, Sept 22, 2007 a new world record was set. Early that morning the crowds gathered at the beginning of the route, energized, cheering, and ready for this amazing day. Most dressed in wonderful costume, they whizzed through the streets of Fort Collins, Colorado. Final count is approx. 4800 parade participants. This easily crushed Tiawans previous record of 1910 people parading. This event was sponsored by the New Belgium Brewery as always promoting sustainable living, renewable energies and alternate fuels.

This was a truly astounding scene. Video will be available from
