THE BUS STOPS HERE:  NEW HORIZONS
TO HOLD TECH DAY 2007 EVENTS

LIVONIA, Mich., September 10, 2007 – New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Michigan, Chicago & Cleveland, part of the world’s largest IT training company, today announced the dates and locations for the New Horizons Tech Day 2007 events.

The Bus Stops Here: Tech Day 2007 will feature the Microsoft Across America bus and will focus on Microsoft SharePoint technology.  Sessions will be held throughout the day on topics such as SharePoint 2007 features, licensing and Software Assurance, SharePoint implementation, and project management.  New Horizons will also offer sessions on its Continuing Education Programs and Mentored Learning, a new learning method that combines recorded audio and video lecture, simulation and live lab exercises, and online tutorials with the expertise of New Horizons Mentors.  Attendees will learn how Mentored Learning’s customized learning plans and schedules can benefit learners of all ages, skill levels, and roles.  Events are scheduled in Cleveland, Ohio on September 21; Chicago, Illinois on October 16; Livonia, Michigan on October 30; East Lansing, Michigan on November 1; and Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 2.

This is the second annual round of Microsoft Across America events hosted by New Horizons, which celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary this year.  The events will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a welcome time of 8:30.  Lunch and snacks will be provided for attendees.   Those who attend at least two sessions at the event will be eligible for prizes such as a Microsoft Xbox, a Microsoft Zune, and New Horizons training.  Sponsors and presenters for the events include Microsoft Certified Partners such as Magenic Technologies, NuSoft Solutions, MCPc, Inc., and Project Leadership Associates.

"We are extremely excited to bring the Microsoft Across America bus back this year,” said Scott Pettit, New Horizons’ Marketing Manager.  “These events give our clients an opportunity to learn how Microsoft technologies—SharePoint specifically—can positively impact their businesses and daily job functions.  The sessions on the bus are fun and informative and attendees will get tips and tricks in the other sessions that can be really useful when back on the job…and with the launch of Mentored Learning in Michigan, New Horizons gives our students yet another way to customize training and get what they need when they need it.”

Additional event details can be found at http://techday.new-horizons.com.  Attendees are encouraged to register early for their preferred sessions and times as seating is limited.
