Sept. 5, 2007 - PRLog -- The Tampa Bay Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will host “Party Planner to the Stars” Colin Cowie for a special event and speaking engagement Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Tampa Convention Center.

Cowie, whose A-list celebrity clientele includes Oprah, Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Hugh Hefner, is also a well known author, television personality and owner of one of the country’s premier event planning, catering and design companies, Colin Cowie Lifestyle.

Tickets for the public event are now on sale and are exclusively available at http://www.tampabaympi.org.   Cowie’s upcoming Tampa appearance and speaking engagement were announced at the MPI Annual Southeast Educational Conference held at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Aug. 23 – 25.

“This is a great opportunity for our chapter to bring to the Tampa Bay community one of the event planning industry’s most respected personalities and resourceful experts,” said Tara Liaschenko, CEO of the Link Event Professionals Inc. and president of the Tampa Bay Area Chapter of MPI.

Limited seating is available for the Nov. 15 event which features a VIP brunch beginning at 11 a.m., attended by Cowie, followed by a 1 p.m. speaking engagement.  Combination tickets, providing access to the brunch, as well as reserved seating for the presentation, are $100-$150 per person; general admission presentation-only tickets range from $65 - $85.

Known for creating extraordinary events and lavish weddings, Cowie is a regular contributor to the CBS Early Show and a frequent guest on Oprah.
