Fergie's newest album - "The Dutchess"

Fergie's new album became very popular after its debut at number three on the Billboard 200 in the United States.

Aug. 20, 2007 - PRLog -- Nowadays there are very few people, who haven't heard her name - Fergie, one of the hottest female performers on the world. Despite that she is so charming and sexy, Fergie is also a brilliant pop and R&B singer, songwriter and actress.

After many successful songs and tours with The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie decided to make a solo album in 2006. She named it "The Dutchess", which became very popular, after it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The first week sales of "The Dutchess" reached the incredible 150,000 copies.

The first song of the album was named "London Bridge" and released on July 18, 2006. The song was produced by Polow Da Don and the lyrics were written by Sean Garrett. Fergie describes it as "kind of like a punch in the face to let people know I'm coming out... ". The premiere of the video was on July 18, on the MTV show "Total Request Live". Fergie performed her new song in the beginning of 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The second single of "The Dutchess" - "Fergalicious" featured the The Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am. who was also the producer of the track. The song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 few weeks after its release. In January 2007 the song was sold in 295,000 copies over the Internet in one week. Song number three - "Glamorous" is in duet with Ludacris. It was released on March 19, 2007, and it became Fergie's second number-one song in the US charts. It is about Fergie's life, which had become glamorous, after her success with The Black Eyed Peas and her solo career. "Glamorous" debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 98, but five weeks later it was number one. The fourth song is called "Big Girls Don't Cry" and aoon as it has been written, Fergie and her management decided that the song didn't fit the theme of her album. It was sold to "Bad Boy Records" company and there the song was recorded. When Fergie heard the finished version, she changed her mind and record it too.
