Icelandic Music Coming to Århus, Denmark

Icelandic Music Export has organised for three Icelandic artists to appear at the upcoming Spot Festival taking place in Demark on 1st & 2nd June.

May 29, 2007 - PRLog -- Icelandic artists Pétur Ben, Helgi Hrafn Jónsson, and Reykjavik! will perform at the annual Spot music festival in Århus, Denmark . Music lovers from all over the world can also look forward to the appearance of around 100 Scandinavian artists taking part in the extravaganza.

Pétur Ben is scheduled to perform at ‘Musikhuset Lille Sal’ on Friday 1st June at 21:45. Helgi Hrafn Jónsson will also perform at Musikhuset Lille Sal on Friday at 18:00 as well as Saturday at 21:15. Reykjavik! is scheduled to perform at ‘Ridehuset’ on Friday at 18:00.

The Spot Music Festival will consist of conferences and seminars on current music business issues and will bring together around 800 Danish and international representatives from the music industry – including record companies, publishers, the media, bookers, and concert organisers.

Ever since its debut in 1995, the Spot Music Festival has attracted music lovers from all over the world with its eclectic mix of genres, such as rock, pop, metal, folk, world music, jazz, hip hop and some very new and unique styles just making their way into the ever-changing music scene.

Icelandic Music Export (IMX - http://www.icelandicmusic.is ) is a government-sponsored organisation that promotes Icelandic music around the world by arranging artist participation at international music festivals. IMX is scheduled to launch a website in early June that will bring together various aspects of the Icelandic music scene under one promotional website. The website will contain valuable information on Icelandic artists as well as upcoming Icelandic music events.
