On August 18th NYC Bagpipes concluded its first ever pilgrimage to Scotland. During the trip Cristopher Rodriguez of NYC Bagpipes visited historical sights and attended events important to bagpiping.

In August of 2025 NYC Bagpipes' Cristopher Rodriguez will visit Scotland to perform at the World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow. This will be his first trip to Scotland and he will play for the St.

Cristopher Rodriguez was awarded several first prizes at the Rose and Shamrock Festival solo bagpipe competition in Lancaster, PA on Saturday, February 8th, 2025.  He was awarded first place in the Hornpipe/Jig, Piobaireachd, and 2/4 March events.

February is generally the first month for EUSPBA sanctioned bagpipe competitions in the Northeast. This month there are 2 competitions. The first is Rose & Shamrock Festival in Lancaster, PA on February 8th.

Cristopher Rodriguez was awarded the North American Amateur Piobaireachd Championship Grade 2 award on Friday, January 17th, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri.  There were 15 registrants for the competition, with 11 actually competing.

On January 9th the Peacock TV show The Traitors premiered its first episode of season 3. The launch of the new season included several press releases and public stunts to promote the first time airing.

The Pipes of Christmas featured a different pipe band, the St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band, this year.
