Pedal for Paws "Spinathon" Event Puts the "Fun" in Fundraising

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Jan. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Saturday January 31st, 2015 will bring a unique and special event to the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, MA.  PetChance.org is holding its first-ever major fundraiser called "Pedal For Paws".  The event starts at 10am and will run throughout the day.  During this "Spinathon" event, teams of people will ride a stationary spin bike for an hour each in an effort to raise money for the Northborough-based charity that helps pet owners raise money online for veterinary expenses when money is tight.

Mall shoppers are encouraged to attend to support and cheer on the teams.  There will be appearances by several PetChance.org pets who have been helped in the past, along with other adoptable pets from local rescues.  A craft table will give children the opportunity to do a pet-related project to take home.  Pet Chance founder and CEO, Peter Alberti, is excited about the event:  "The Team Captains are doing a great job building their teams, and we're really looking forward to having a lot of fun!"

Since it launched in 2012, PetChance.org has helped over 400 pet owners from 50 states raise over $125,000 for needed medical care for their pets.  Using a system that avoids fraud, Pet Chance pays veterinary hospitals directly when clients raise money so donors can be confident their money is going to the right place.

Solomon Pond Mall fabric includes Macy's, JC Penney, Shoe Dept at Encore and Sears as well as over 100 specialty shops.  The shops include: Ann Taylor , American Eagle Outfitters, Apple Store, Ann Taylor, LOFT, Bare Minerals, Chico's,  Coach, Forever 21, H&M, Gymboree, Hollister,  J Jill,  Talbot's, Teavana, The Walking Company, Victoria's Secret, and White House/Black Market. Solomon Pond Mall also offers Bertucci’s, TGI Fridays, and eight food court kitchens. There is also Regal Cinema and Tilt Studios.
