Subaru's Torrid Sales Pace Continues Through July

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Though its vehicles are better known for their performance in wintry conditions, Subaru's sales have skyrocketed this summer, setting new records in the process. Redesigned models like the 2014 Subaru Forester have provided plenty of push, helping power a 43 percent increase in July sales compared to the same time period last year.

Subaru's year-over-year sales have increased by 27 percent thanks to a range of all-new vehicles like the BRZ, which enjoyed a 42 percent increase in July and the new XV Crosstrek. Meanwhile, redesigned vehicles like the 2014 Forester, which saw sales increase by 53 percent in July, have helped push year-over-year sales up to 240,591 models compared to 189,487 sales through the first seven months of 2012, a 27 percent increase.

"Subaru's fresh lineup is firing on all cylinders -- that's for sure," said Dave Wright, owner of Dave Wright Subaru, an Iowa Subaru dealer. Capable of returning up to 32 mpg on the highway, the new Forester comes standard with Subaru's vaunted all-wheel-drive system and a capacious cargo area. With all five seats occupied, there' still 32 cubic feet of cargo space available, and folding the rear seats flat opens up 69 cubic feet of space, giving the Forester impressive chops when it comes to hauling gear.
