DALLAS - June 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX— June 25, 2013 — FM Smoke House announced today a feature article in the Dallas Observer that debuted on June 13, 2013 on the Dallasobserver.com’s City of Ate blog and re-printed in their weekly print edition Thursday, June 20, 2013. The article is called “Monty Python and the FM Smoke House”, by Gavin Cleaver.  It can be accessed at www.fmsmokehouse.com/reviews.
The article praises FM Smoke House for venturing into a new uncharted territory of locally influenced cuisine. “Rather than strictly being a barbecue restaurant, FM Smokehouse is a diner dedicated to food served on those rural farm to market roads that cross Texas.”
Referring to the house made sausage, “It was spicy, sweet, meaty and smoky all at once, and when it was dipped in the heretic spicy mustard barbecue sauce, it became one of the greatest sausages in the history of man.”
FM Smoke House’s smoked brisket also received praise. “The brisket, which apparently is bacon-injected, is frankly delicious even for brisket, despite suffering from being somewhat lean. The parts that do have a bit of fatty tenderness to them are excellent.”
The piece concludes with “You will not even be remotely disappointed. Not once. Pretty good, this place.”
All food items at FM Smoke House are prepared in house from scratch using quality ingredients with an emphasis on smoked meats, cheeses and vegetables as well as other Texas favorites such as chicken fried steak, another dish noted in the Dallas Observer article.
A full bar is available with an emphasis on American craft beers and house infused vodka drinks. Of the 42 draft lines, 28 are dedicated to Texas brewed beers including DFW local favorites Franconia, Lakewood Brewing, Four Corners, Peticolas, and Deep Ellum Brewing Company. The carefully curated wine list features a few Texas offerings from craft wineries Arche and Pedernales. FM Smoke House will also offer 36 different Whiskeys and 25 Scotches.
