Murphy Bed Company Adds More Versatile Products

Feb. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- In 2007 Old Creek Wall Bed Factory debuted the vertical Elsa Drop Table Murphy bed. Customers quickly gravitated to the Elsa and the added functionality the table. The table has been used for a variety of purposes including; sewing, crafts, dinning, tea, work, etc.

Old Creek began to notice increasing amount of their horizontal Murphy beds were being purchased in 2010. Nearly 25% of all orders were for horizontal beds. At the time Old Creek only presented customers with 2 horizontal bed options, but on request would build a custom item for customers. After several email requests came through asking for the Elsa’s functional drop table on the front of a horizontal bed, Old Creek decided to add it to their standard collections.  

The Old Creek engineering team worked on several prototypes before deciding on the final product. The table needed to be just the right height for ergonomics and needed to be easy to operate.  The horizontal Elsa Murphy bed collection debuted on Old Creek’s anniversary February 14th, and pricing will start at $2,499.
