Presently modern or contemporary Murphy bed designs make up far less than 5% of the overall market and retailers continue to churn out the same old traditional designs at a high premium. In 2007 Old Creek designers began working on developing one of the first modern Murphy beds. The goal of the Noir was to bring style and modernism to Murphy beds at a reasonable price.
With the enormous success of the Noir, Old Creek designers quickly began working on alternative Murphy bed designs. In late 2009 Old Creek debuted the Bennett, the sister collection the Noir, but Old Creek designers still believed a less expensive design was out there.
Towards the end of 2009 Old Creek premiered the Heritage Collection. The Heritage is simple, modern and priced just under $1500. Created using a Spring Mechanism, the Heritage is a minimalist as they come. The Heritage is available with simple white handles and comes in two laminates; White and Pacific Maple.
Old Creek designers are still working on more modern and contemporary designs, though it may be impossible to beat the price of the Heritage.
