Old Creek’s primary offices, warehouse, and showroom have been located in Corvallis, Ore. for the last 4 years, but Old Creek has outgrown its Corvallis headquarters and is moving east to Bend. The company’s rationale, according to Old Creek’s President Shaheen Ghiassy, is that Bend will provide new opportunities for growth, expansion, innovation and human resources.
“Corvallis is an amazing city and it’s been very beneficial for Old Creek as we’ve grown and matured from a West-Coast Murphy bed supplier into one of the Nation’s premier online retailers,” said Ghiassy. “Corvallis will continue to play a major role in operations for Old Creek.”
Bend is located in Central Oregon, with a population of nearly 80,000; it provides visitors and residents with a plethora of year-round outdoor recreation opportunities. Originally started as a logging community, Bend’s arid climate, juniper trees and scenic views made it an instant tourist hot spot. Bend has grown into a booming urban attraction for up and coming businesses.
Old Creek plans to move its headquarters in early Quarter 4 2010.
