How to Lose 8 to 15 Pounds in 10 Days without a Fitness Expert in 3 Easy Steps

Aug. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Burbank,CA., August 2, 2010 - Americans have always had a love affair with firm trim waistlines and six-pack abs.  Getting in shape doesn’t have to be rocket science but losing those first stubborn 8 to 15 pounds can be a big challenge for those who don’t have a game plan.  The key is for the fitness minded individual to have a plan and get a fast start so enough momentum and excitement can be built to carry them through to their fitness goals.

Burbank, California fitness trainer and creator of the Ballistic Body Fitness System, Scott Yonehiro, has developed the following three step process for people who want  to get a jump start on their weight loss goals from the comfort of their own home.

Step one:  drink a lot of water or herbal tea. Water and herbal tea flush toxins out of the body safely and effectively. You must avoid sugary soda pops, and alcohol at all cost.  Shoot for at least 8 to 10 glasses per day of pure water and gradually eliminate all unhealthy soft drinks over a period of days

Step two:  drink a smoothie with a high quality protein powder for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Avoid sugary "smoothies" with soft ice cream that are often found at retail juice chains and also avoid mixing in fruit juice or other high calorie liquids, simply use water.  One meal per day can contain high quality animal protein such as Turkey, Tuna, or Chicken.  And strive for a leafy green salad with fibrous veggies like broccoli or cauliflower with each meal.  As with any change in an individual’s diet, doctors should be consulted to make sure there are no health risks associated with embarking on this type of dietary regimen.

Step Three:  engage in cardio vascular exercise daily, preferably immediately after waking in the morning on an empty stomach. This step jump starts the metabolism so more fat is burned all day long. Since there's nothing in the stomach, stored fat is used to fuel the workout. What is important to avoid here is over exertion. Individuals should simply exercise at a moderate pace that would allow them to carry on a casual conversation with a friend.
