June 8, 2010 - PRLog -- WAUSAU, Wis. – Certified Hypnotist Alicia D. Cramer is opening a new location for the established Wausau Hypnotherapy, now serving a community that has had no local access to this valuable service.

Conveniently located in Wausau's Bridge Street Professional Center, new and existing clients have easy access to Wausau Hypnotherapy off of Interstate 51. Until now, local residents seeking hypnosis had to travel more than 30 minutes for therapy.

Hypnosis is a process that allows a trained therapist to work with the part of the mind that stores all beliefs and behaviors. While in the state of hypnosis, old patterns causing conflict can be altered. Hypnotherapy is a combination of hypnosis and therapeutic intervention. The therapist leads the patient to positive change while the patient is deeply relaxed in a state of heightened suggestibility, known as trance.

Cramer has been practicing alternative healing therapies professionally since 2006. She has assisted hundreds of clients using several highly successful methods, including hypnosis. Cramer received her education from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, America’s first nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy. Her advanced training allows her to work with a wide variety of issues including, smoking cessation, weight management, public speaking, sports performance and even ADD.

“In a therapeutic setting, hypnosis is used as a tool to put you back in control of your life and to achieve amazing goals," Cramer said. "It can help you to get rid of old habits, negative ways of thinking and behaving, and replace them with positive new habits, like relaxation, motivation, and feeling more confident.”

A study done by American Health Magazine shows that hypnotherapy is more effect with fewer sessions then conventional methods. The study shows that, on average, six hypnotherapy sessions generate a 93 percent recovery rate from the original symptoms. Conventional psychology can take up to 600 sessions and have only a 38-72 percent recovery rate depending on the type of therapy.

The official website for Wausau Hypnotherapy, http://www.wausauhypnotherapy.com, offers articles, information and additional hypnosis resources. Cramer offers free phone consultations. All sessions are confidential and conducted in a safe and comfortable environment.

Cramer also provides free educational talks about the benefits of self-hypnosis and stress management to groups. She has worked with all types of groups including weight loss and entrepreneurial training.

“Stress is prevalent in our society and the average person could function far better with regular self-hypnosis stress reduction techniques," she said. "They are easy and effective; you simply need to learn how to do it. I am happy to teach people a tool that can significantly increase their peace and well-being.”
