Sept. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Appel Farm’s Saturday afternoon family matinee series provides affordable family fun combined with the excitement of live performances.

Scheduled October 3, 2009-April 10, 2010, the series features well-known stories like Junie B. Jones, a holiday show, amazing and entertaining science shows, and a large-scale puppet extravaganza.

To add to the fun, a free costume parade, a snowglobe-making workshop and other special events have been scheduled. A three-show subscription is available for $18.00, or tickets ranging from $7.00-10.00 can be purchased for each show.

Knowing that families are seeking the most for their entertainment dollars, Appel Farm has added several events to enhance the performance experience.

A free basket of Junie B. Jones books will be given to a person registering for the Appel Farm E-News at www.appelfarm.org, now through October 1. (No purchase is required, one winner will be announced at the October 3 performance of Junie B. Jones).

Right after the Mrs. Claus Holiday Celebration on December 5, children can take a snowglobe-making workshop in the Appel Farm Art Barn. The fee for the workshop alone is normally $20.00, but those attending the Mrs. Claus Holiday Celebration can see the show and take the workshop for $20.00.

On February 27, 2010 children are invited to participate in a Costume Parade at the Little Red Riding Hood/Who Is A Stranger? performance. Young ones who dress as their favorite fairy tale character will be invited onstage to display their costumes.

For more information about each show, and to purchase tickets, visit www.appelfarm.org or call (800) 394-1211.
