(North Kansas City, MO) —Global Re-Source Funding today announces its partnership with Hope House, of Independence and Lee’s Summit, MO, to help donors raise money through recycling.

Hope House initially reached out to Global Re-Source Funding for a sponsorship for one of their fundraising events.  However, they ended up with more than just a loyal sponsor and a check. They ended up with a partnership program that is set to raise thousands more dollars every year to aid in the essential support and services provided to victims of domestic violence.

“We are always looking for opportunities to work with organizations that have a constant demand for funding, such as Hope House,” commented Erin Bonomo, Marketing Director for Global Re-Source Funding.  “We were ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with a charity that affects the well-being of individuals here in the Kansas City area.”

Hope House’s individual and corporate donors now have the opportunity to hold recycling drives to collect empty ink/toner cartridges, used cell phones, iPods and laptops from employees and customers. The money raised by recycling these items gives an alternative or supplementary option for sponsors to do more.

“Because Hope House is always looking for alternate funding sources to continue to meet the needs of our women and children, Global Re-Source Funding is a perfect corporate partner for us,” said Mary Anne Metheny, Chief Executive Officer for Hope House. “The opportunity to further our funding AND keep the environment cleaner is a definite win-win.” These donors are not only raising essential funding for Hope House, they are also aiding in protecting the environment from harmful waste.

Interested businesses and individuals can become involved in this opportunity by contacting Global Re-Source Funding or Hope House.

About Global Re-Source Funding
Since 1995, OPRA has been a worldwide industry leader in creating new opportunities to keep products out of landfills and back in the hands of consumers. Global Re-Source Funding, formerly Rethink Ink, was formed two years later as a subsidiary to head OPRA’s end-user collections.  The program pays participating organizations for used ink/toner cartridges, cell phones, iPods and laptops and offers several different promotions throughout the year in addition.  These items are then diverted from the landfills and sent to certified remanufacturing companies to be refurbished, lowering the depletion of resources required to manufacture new items. More information is available at www.GlobalRe-SourceFunding.com.
