Chinatown Streetscape with Wide Variety of Asian Foods Creates New Experience
MORRISVILLE, N.C. – China Town, an elaborate new restaurant that opened this week at the intersection of Cary Parkway and Highway 54, gives Triangle area residents their first experience of a local Chinatown where a rich mix of cultural and culinary histories come alive.
Located at 9601 Chapel Hill Road in Cary, formerly a Golden Corral location, China Town offers a wide variety of Asian foods under one roof. The restaurant uses colorful Asian décor to create a Chinatown streetscape, with food stations decorated as different buildings to evoke the feel of Asian regions and food types.
China Town offers a traditional Chinese buffet, Japanese hibachi grill, Korean and Chinese barbeque grill, fresh sushi, fresh seafood, dim sum (special Chinese cuisine featuring light dishes served with Chinese tea), a bar and an authentic Chinese tea bar.
Guests can serve themselves any type or quantity of food for $8.99 at lunch or $14.99 at dinner ($16.99 on weekend nights). Beverages and crab legs are not included.
“We’re excited to give area residents their first local experience of an urban Chinatown,” said Kevin Lee, owner. “From Tokyo, to San Francisco, to Washington, D.C., people love Chinatowns because they can enjoy a high concentration of Asian foods and cultures in one place. We want our guests to discover the fun of dining out at China Town, where about six significantly different Asian restaurants exist in one location.”
China Town is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day. The restaurant is planning a grand opening for early November.
