With a due date in June 2023, Carissa's pregnancy brought a ray of light into her life during a time of immense grief. However, fate had another surprise in store. Carissa's mother passed away in March 2023, leaving a void in her heart. Yet, just as one chapter ended, another began. On May 11th, Mother's Day weekend, Carissa welcomed her baby into the world, a month earlier than anticipated. It was a moment of profound significance, symbolizing the circle of life and the enduring power of love. Reflecting on her journey, Carissa believes that her mother's passing and her baby's early arrival were no mere coincidences. Instead, they were divine interventions, guiding her towards a new path filled with love and hope.
