Daniel Hect to take the Chief of Police in the Village of Sabina of Ohio

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Feb. 5, 2021 - PRLog -- The Masters Hall of Fame CEO Dr. Daniel Hect, was appointed to the position of Chief of Police at the Village of Sabina, Ohio.

Dr. Daniel Hect joins the City of Sabina with 40 years of service in law enforcement.  He began his career with the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist on active duty and later as a USAF Reserve Security Forces member and retired from the Air Force in 2012. In 1988, Hect was hired by the University of Southern California Department of Public Safety and served as a field training officer, and the training coordinator, he retired in 2014. Daniel moved to Ohio to take the Police Chief position at Denison University and also served at Xavier University as their police chief. Daniel's last post was in the Village of Hartford, Ohio where he served as the Police Chief.

He continues to strive to "Recognize Excellence" in the Martial Arts and has served as the Masters Hall of Fame for over fifteen (15) years," said Michelle Manu, Vice President of the Masters Hall of Fame.

Hect is a retired Air Force Security Forces Master Sergeant and a dedicated public servant who has earned many accolades and accomplishments, including chief's unit commendation and two life-saving awards from the USC Department of Public Safety. He received the Director of the Year from the National Association of Campus Safety Association, the Distinguished Service Awards, and Chief's Citations.

Chief Hect is a graduate of Argosy University with a Doctorate in Education with a Focus on Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Southern California. He has attended the FBI LEEDA Executive Leadership Course Class 103, and the Southern Police Institute Chief course. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Phoenix.

"It was my martial arts training and experiences that enhanced my leadership capacity throughout my police and military careers. I truly believe the reason I am a Chief today is from the lessons I learned through my martial arts training," said Hanshi Daniel Hect.

Recruitment for the Chief of Police was a highly competitive search which resulted in extremely qualified applicants. The leading candidates went through an extensive interview process involving multiple panel interviews and background investigation in which Daniel Hect prevailed as the top choice for Sabina.
