New - Amazon Offers Collaboration With 2 American Co-Authors To Create A Box Set For Their Trilogy

This first novel lets the reader witness gut-jarring missions over Nazi Germany as Buck Remke shoots down enemy aircraft. Meanwhile, Ilona, a sophisticated woman of privileged Jewish class from Budapest, embarks on a dangerous journey by train through Nazi-occupied Europe, headed to England. In the pause between Buck's missions, they become lovers and give life to a son, Pip.

In the sequel, [TailGunnerR3], America, along with its allies, won the war. However, when Buck returns to civilian life in the States, his combat fatigue (PTSD) with memories of death and destruction, play over and over in his mind. Only dreams of beautiful Ilona, make his life bearable. Meanwhile, in East Europe, Ilona's brother, Istvan, [former Hungarian soldier and Russian POW], returns to find his parent's home - ransacked. Istvan feels raging indignation when he also learns the Russians have taken control of Budapest. Pip, left behind in England, grapples with a world that grows dark, yet hope lies beyond the next horizon.

In the 3rd and final novel, Buck Remke moves to London and pursues a successful career by creating and managing dance studios. Pip, now an adult and reunited with his father, chooses to attend Oxford. Just when their lives seem normal, Buck's elderly mother suffers a serious medical issue. Buck brings Pip with him to help his grandmother and meet the Remke family. Their trip to the coal mining town of Tamaqua, PA endows Pip with the legacy he has been missing. However, he also experiences first-hand the devastating effects of miner's black-lung. Upon return, Pip enters medical school with a calling to help people with lung disease. A noble goal, but his path is riddled with pot-holes along the way.
