About Wriggle:
Wriggle is a brand new mobile app that connects users with last-moment offers at great local restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs – helping those businesses target quiet times and get new customers at the very last-moment.
Wriggle have implemented a user referral system, where a user can give a referral code to a friend in order to receive Wriggle credit. This case study demonstrates that, where app providers have a need to authenticate their users, SMS pin verification is an ideal and easy-to-implement solution.

The challenge:
Wriggle needed a way to prevent users from creating multiple accounts and referring themselves to get credit and also wanted to prevent multiple credit referrals to the same people.

The solution:
Wriggle integrated Doluna’s SMS pin verification to instantly verify users wanting to receive referral credit in their app.

How it works:
A user enters a referral code into the Wriggle app. The app uses Doluna’s API to send an SMS pin to the user, who then enters the received pin into the app for instant verification and credit.

Summary:
With the help of Doluna’s SMS pin verification, Wriggle now have an effective way of preventing miss-use of their user referral codes, allowing the Wriggle team to concentrate on growing their app business.
