First Ever OfSted Report Says Tops Corfe Mullen Day Nursery Is ‘Good’

POOLE, U.K. - Jan. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The first ever Ofsted inspection for Tops Corfe Mullen, which opened in Blandford Road in 2013, concluded that the nursery is delivering quality and caring provision that meets the needs of all children well and ensures children are ready for the next stage of their learning.

Nurseries cannot receive an outstanding rating during their first Ofsted inspection, which means that the good rating is the best possible outcome for Tops Corfe Mullen. The high standard of care has not gone un-noticed by many parents with children attending the nursery.

This huge achievement comes at a time when more and more nurseries and child minders are underperforming, following changes to the way providers of early years care are inspected in England, according to Ofsted official figures*.

The Ofsted report noted that staff have a good understanding of children’s individual needs whilst supporting emotional development, parents are well informed about their child’s achievements, staff make good use of observational assessment to monitor children’s progress and the manager has a clear drive for supporting the staff’s ongoing development.
