Parkstone Two-Year-Olds Celebrate Refurbishments At Local Nursery

POOLE, U.K. - June 2, 2014 - PRLog -- On Friday, Tops Day Nurseries in Parkstone opened its doors for the official unveiling of its new refurbished building. Over £20,000 has been invested in the building as well as in brand new facilities and equipment geared specifically towards 2-year-olds.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Poole joined the to cut the ribbon at 11am, officially opening the new facility, and were taken on a tour of the new building by the staff.

Managing Director Cheryl Hadland said: “We are so pleased with our new setting for 2-year-olds and the official opening has been a huge success. The children loved coming in today to play with the brand new equipment for the first time, in their very own purpose built areas. The investment in fully refurbishing this part of the nursery means that we can offer childcare to even more children in the local area, helping more families in Poole.”

The 2-year-funding eligibility criteria changed last year, allowing more two-year-olds access to up to 15 hours free childcare a week. This project at Tops Day Nurseries in Parkstone has created a further 20 places for 2-year-old in the local community.

The newly refurbished building features a designated food area, in which all 2 year-olds will be served free hot lunches. There is also brand new state-of-the-art equipment made to be the right size for 2 year-olds such as wooden arches and bridges, see saws, desks and tables, slides and more.
