Make is Easy for your Customers on Line

HAMILTON, N.J. - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- I was reading an article today about the founder of Twitter, Blogger, and more, Ev Williams (Twitter Founder Reveals Secret Formula for Getting Rich Online (http://www.wired.com/business/2013/09/ev-williams-xoxo/)) and a lot if not all of the dialogue makes sense.

Humans adapt to their surroundings.  Once they find a way to save time, money, etc.  something else fills that void and now there is no time to 'go back'. For example, turn off your smart phone for a couple of hours.  Have to make a call? Use the pay phone!  Need to check your email?  Find a computer. Whats today weather going to be? Turn on the news.


Now, adapt the same thing to car shoppers.  They shop on line because that's what they have time for.  Those dealerships with the mentality that you can 'just bring em in,' are living in a world before the computer took over.  I hate to say it, but the melenials have landed!  They are a breed of people who have no time to do it the old fashioned way even if they wanted to!

People want things easy.  Some dealers are still playing the 'lets negotiate in person' game, with the people that go on line-so they don't have to negotiate.  What's worse is, they know what cards you are holding!  All they want is an easy transaction, that takes a minimum of time, so they can go on to the more pressing problems in their lives. If you won't do it, the guy down the street will.

Take a look at your internet processes.  Are you trying to slow people down?  Are your closing percentages off?  Try to tweak them so that you have people coming in because its the next logical step, not because they have to come in to get our best price. Your closing percentages will go up, as well as customer satisfaction indexes.
