IRVINE, Calif. - Sept. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Southern California's premier technology conference celebrates its 14th year with a line up of industry leading keynote speakers, subject experts and panelist at Hilton, Long Beach on November 1st and 2nd.  SOTEC 2013 plans to build upon the record 400+ attendees  in last year's conference to provide exposure to best practices and industry trends.

Conference main theme – Thinking Big, Influencing Change- reflects that change is constant and we are in the midst of accelerating change.. The conference equips the attendee to deal with transformative changes with a special track:  Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud (SMAC). Other core tracks include: project management, quality assurance/ITIL, personal development.

Conference chair, Lori Shapiro believes, "Repeat conference attendees and word of mouth have been validation of our value proposition. We have been able to enlist keynote speakers from leading organizations such as Salesforce.com, Fox, Boeing, Microsoft, HP over the years to provide value to our attendees. This year’s line up includes keynote speakers from leading firms including Boeing, Guthy Renker, APRI Technology Partners and Schools First Credit Union. Industry experts and panelist include firms such as NBC, Toyota, Ingram Micro, Capital Group, ADP, HP, Microsoft among others.

Kim Terry, CIO, Guthy Renker one of the keynotes will focus on integrating IT and increasing innovation to provide a business edge. He will also elaborate on challenges in implementing major IT projects. Guthy-Renker is a leading multi-channel direct marketing company with revenue of over $1.5 Billion. Another key note - Andrea Hoy, CISO, Schools First Credit Union will focus on cyber security. Schools First Credit Union routinely deals with cyber security while serving 500,000 members who trust it to manage over $10 Billion in assets. The third key note – Mario Leone, ex CIO Ingram Micro will elaborate on IT system evaluations. Mario Leone has held leadership positions including CIO at firms such as FIAT, Federal-Mogul. The final keynote Daryl Pelc, VP,  Engineering and Technology, Phantom Works, Boeing brings over 30 years of engineering and management expertise.

SOTEC is a result of a coalition of leading local technology groups such as IIBA (LA), PMI (LA), AITP (LA), ITSMF, PMI (OC), IIBA (OC), SCQA (Inland Empire), SCQAA (OC) and SCQAA (San Fernando) .
