Southland Technology Conference (SOTEC) 2014 – Geek to Chic : Leveraging Game Changing Technology

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Sept. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Southern California's premier technology conference celebrates its 15th year with a line up of industry leading keynote speakers, subject experts and panelist at Hilton, Long Beach on Oct 24 and Oct 25th.  SOTEC 2014 plans to build upon the record 400+ attendees  in last year's conference to provide exposure to best practices and industry trends.

Conference main theme – Geek to Chic: Leveraging Game Changing Technology - reflects that change is constant and we are in the midst of accelerating change, with emphasis on gamification. The conference equips the attendee to deal with transformative changes with a special track:  Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud (SMAC). Other core tracks include: project management, quality assurance/ITIL, personal development, Alliance Partner Track.

This year’s line up includes keynote speakers from leading firms including Sony, Allergan, Info World. Industry experts and panelist include firms such as Disney, IBM, Microsoft, Toyota, Broadcom, Dell, Ernst and Young, DirectTV among others.

He will also elaborate on challenges in implementing IT projects that have business value in face of disruption from emerging technologies like streaming, dvd's and self produced videos  Another key note - Galen Gruman, Executive Editor, Info World,  will focus on changing roles of IT and CIO. Galen has a unique perspective on technology being located in Silicon Valley and reporting on breaking news. The third key note – Sarita Maybin, will motivate positive communication skills for technologists. . The final keynote Elizabeth Southerland, IS Director, Allergan brings over 15 years of engineering and management expertise in pharmaceutical industry.
