The creation of a slightly less alcoholic drink is part of the company's strategy to get the bottles back to market after the government's prohibition of the sales of beverages with 20% or more alcohol in their composition. Jan Becher managed to balance the formula of Becherovka Lemond so that the alcoholic content was reduced of one percent, without compromising the characteristic flavor of their popular liquor.
Cocoon Group had to quickly come up with a graphic solution for the packaging that would make the new composition clear to the consumers: the 19% Limited Edition stamp on the label, introduced along with minor visual modifications on the design. The next step was naturally to produce the drink, label the bottles and put them back on the shelves, which happened already this Tuesday, September 25th.
