Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Kempton Park has, for the second year in succession, teamed up with The Bentall Centre in Kingston to make this a special day, full of fashion and fun!

The racing action and the atmosphere on Ladies’ Day will be magical.  Enjoy an afternoon of top class horse racing on the track, including two Group 3 races - the September Stakes and Sirenia Stakes - feature races of the Flat racing season at Kempton Park.  Racegoers can place a bet whilst enjoying a drink in one of the many racecourse bars, a bite to eat in the newly refurbished ground floor of the Grandstand, or a delicious three course meal in the Panoramic Restaurant with some of the best views in racing.

During the afternoon all eyes will be on the best dressed and most elegantly attired ladies and gents enjoying a day out at the races.  You and your friends can take part in the ‘Fashion on the Field’ competition for a chance to win some fantastic prizes courtesy of the Bentall Centre Kingston for the Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gentleman and Best Hat/Fascinator.

Judges for the fun-filled style stakes will include Kempton Park favourite, Heart FM’s Toby Anstis, who is used to spotting glamorous ladies as he was part of the judging panel for ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’ in 2006 and has several years experience of helping judge the Best Dressed ladies and gentlemen at Kempton Park.  On behalf of The Bentall Centre, representatives from Models 1, Europe’s largest and most successful agency will be assisting Toby and scouting the racecourse, when gates open, for potential winners.

The Fashion on the Field competition will be judged during the afternoon, in-between the racing action with the chance to win hundreds of pounds worth of vouchers from some of the hottest cult brands in The Bentall Centre, such as Zara, Pandora and Apple.

Once the action on the track finishes Heart FM’s Toby Anstis, will take to the decks to get the crowd rocking with a live DJ set to round off a great day out.  Toby, who originally made his name as a presenter on Children’s BBC and has since co-hosted Children In Need, The National Lottery Live and Grandstand on BBC, was nominated for Presenter Of The Year at the Arqiva UK commercial radio awards in 2011.  Toby can usually be heard on Heart’s Morning Show, the most listened to commercial radio show in the UK.
Ladies’ Day epitomizes glamour on and off the track; it’s a great excuse to get dressed up, enjoy a drink or two with friends whilst watching some exhilarating flat racing.  An absolute summer must!

Phil White, General Manager at Kempton Park Racecourse, said:  “Ladies’ Day at Kempton Park is going to be an afternoon full of fashion, colour, fun and non-stop entertainment”.  Phil added “We are delighted to be working with The Bentall Centre Kingston again and also to welcome back Heart FM’s Toby Anstis who will be getting everybody dancing in the Parade Ring during his live DJ set after racing has finished”.

Gates to Kempton Park open at 12.15pm with the first horse race taking place at 2.15pm.
Ladies’ Day is fantastic value for money!  Adult (18 and over) admission costs just £12.80, if booked in advance or £16 on the day.  Tickets for Ladies’ Day can be bought online at www.kempton.co.uk or by calling the ticket hotline on 0844 579 3008.
