Aug. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Go Travel, one of the top ten privately owned agencies in the United States, has announced a partnership with Celebrity Cruise Line to create a cruise for fans of fine food.  The “Foodie Cruise” will depart from Miami, Florida, on January 12, 2013, for a seven night culinary delight aboard the Celebrity Reflection, the newest ship in the Celebrity fleet.  This special trip is only available to those who book with Go Travel and those that do will have access to special amenities.

The amenities include:
   Private group dining nights
   Martini tastings
   Food demonstrations
Special meal at Qsine, the ship’s signature dining room
Champagne party on the ship’s lawn

The host and M.C. will be Orlando restaurant critic Scott Joseph.  Joseph publishes “Scott Joseph’s Orlando Restaurant Guide” at ScottJosephOrlando.com. It is a comprehensive source for restaurant news and reviews.

“Too many cruise ships have a kind of Las Vegas mentality,” said Joseph.  “They try to impress their passengers with massive, non-stop buffets that encourage gorging.”  Joseph said he chose Celebrity Cruise Line because it places an emphasis on fine food and wine. “For this cruise, we’re going to build on that fine dining platform and create a very special experience of fine dining while at sea.”

The cruise will visit San Juan, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, where passengers will experience the local cuisine of the islands first-hand.

There are no hidden fees, and prices include taxes, fees and prepaid gratuities, plus all the events and dinners planned, including the wines served.  Foodie Cruise passengers will also receive $100 shipboard credit per stateroom. The pricing options are:
