Telemundo News Anchor Azalea Iñiguez Honored by Foothill Vocational Opportunities

July 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Pasadena, CA –Foothill Vocational Opportunities honored Telemundo News Anchor Azalea Iñiguez at its annual achievement awards luncheon, Yes We Did! Celebrating Our Achievements, held at the beautiful Noor event space in Pasadena.

Awards were presented to current and past Foothill clients James Breshears for Self Advocacy, Shaun Hopkins for Inspiration, and Wendy Wang for Leadership. Foothill presented clients Juan and Maria Hernandez with a special Telling Our Story award and surprised Telemundo News Anchor Azalea Iñiguez with this award also for her efforts at bringing Telemundo viewers into Juan and Maria’s world.

Guest speakers included Congresswoman Judy Chu, Azalea Iñiguez, Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, and Foothill Parent Ruth Counts. Guests were welcomed by Foothill CEO William Murphy and Board President Gretchen Reed. Presentations were made by Rita Hadjimanoukian of Supervisor Michael Antonovich’s Office, Kristi Lopez of Assemblymember Anthony Portantino’s Office, and Teresa Lamb Simpson of Congressman Adam Schiff’s Office.
