PRLog - June 13, 2012 - ST. LOUIS -- ST. LOUIS, MO – At the fourteenth annual Friends of Kids with Cancer golf tournament, dinner and auction, Waste Management helped raise more than $156,000. Waste Management continued its tradition of sponsorship for this local charity and was represented by more than 25 employees, family and friends.

Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day and the dinner program was highlighted by a speech about the experiences and help received by the family of Arianna Dougan, a patient in treatment.
Waste Management also provided recycling cans throughout the course and a grill for hot dogs and brats for golfers.
“Waste Management is proud to be the title sponsor benefitting such a worthy cause,” said Friends of Kids With Cancer Board Member and Waste Management area vice president Kent Harrell. “It is clear how the money raised at the golf tournament and dinner will benefit the kids and their families.”
Money raised from the tournament and dinner go toward educational programs and scholarships, art and play therapy, recreational activities, and much more.
