Three of my aunts and two of my sisters are teachers now, and my uncle is a middle school principal. Aside from parents, I believe educators have the most important and undervalued role in society today. And with the challenges facing our nation today, that job is only getting tougher.”

That is why, together with Rhemalda Publishing, TJ has decided to offer his novel, The Academy Defenders, free for all teachers, school librarians, and principals. Their goal is to give away at least a hundred thousand copies of his book to educators all across the United States.
In addition to a free eBook, TJ will also be sending each teacher a copy of his educator’s guide, prepared by Amber Robinson, a graduate from Columbia’s Literacy Development Master’s Program. The educator’s guide is designed to assist teachers who decide to use the book in their classrooms, full of great lesson ideas that will both teach and inspire students. Those teachers who elect to use The Academy Defenders in their classrooms can enter another giveaway where each student in one class will receive a free paperback copy of the book along with a visit from the author. And lastly, any teachers interested can contact TJ and he will gladly visit their classes for a Q&A presentation.
