The FLSA, enacted in 1938, mandates minimum wages, for example, as well as most compensation related details. This same act specifies how employees are to be classified as well, meaning it is not up to the employer. As a result, it is crucial for employers to understand employee statuses thoroughly to both pay employees correctly, and to avoid heavy noncompliance fees.
So how do you know if employees are set at the right status? What sort of fines could you expect as a result of noncompliance?
Craig J. Davidson, CEBS with the FutureOffice Network will present “FLSA Compliance” on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012, at 10 am. The presentation will be repeated at 1 pm. All times are central time. To sign up go to http://futureofficenetwork.com/
