Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW Named 2012 Social Worker of the Year by the NASW of New York State

March 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW, Clinical Director of the Westchester Medical Center Behavioral Health Center in Valhalla, New York, has been named the 2012 Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) of the state of New York. The NASW is the world's largest professional association for social workers and was established in 1955. New York has over 22,000 members. March is National Professional Social Work Month, recognizing the work of more than 642,000 social workers in the United States.

The Westchester Medical Center Behavioral Health Center provides inpatient and outpatient mental health services for clients with mental illness. Saturno will receive the award on March 16th at the NASW New York State Annual Conference in Albany. The award is given to a social worker who demonstrates excellence in the field and outstanding advocacy. Saturno holds Master's degrees from Columbia University School of Social Work and Long Island University School of Management and Public Service.
