Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW has been named to serve in an advisory council capacity for the Congressional Research Insitute for Social Work and Policy (CRISP) in Washington, D.C. Saturno is a New York Program Director for Beacon Health Strategies and a national fellowship recipient at New York University Silver School of Social Work, where she is researching healthcare solutions for the elderly and chronically ill. CRISP was created in 2012 as an independent, nonpartisan organization that recognized the importance of the Congressional Social Work Caucus and followed its mission to work with the rules of the United States House of Representatives. CRISP is committed to expanding the participation of social workers in federal legislative and policy processes, and acting as a bridge between social work researchers and the federal government to ensure their research is known to federal policymakers. Saturno holds Master's degrees from Columbia University School of Social Work and Long Island University School of Management and Public Service. She is also a Stanford University Certified Project Manager and was named Social Worker of the Year for the State of New York by the National Association of Social Workers.
