Generally only reserved for private groups, on March 12, 20 and 29, Healthy Habits Kitchen in Wellesley will host meal preparation parties for the community. At the event, attendees will go from station to station measuring out prepared ingredients for dishes such as Bourbon Pecan Chicken, Picadillo, Cod with Tomato Cream Sauce, Fruited Chicken Curry Stew and Sweet Cider BBQ Chicken. The dishes they make will be used to stock their freezer and ultimately simplify the nightly dinner rush. In addition to taking home the meal kits they prepare that night, at the March events all attendees will be cooked and served a free dinner that night as well as will receive a free cookie dough to take home.
“Meal planning isn’t something that’s generally looked at as being fun, but a meal assembly party makes it so,” said Sue Schochet, Founder & Owner of Healthy Habits Kitchen. “Women get to get out of the house and swap stories with friends while enjoying a nice meal and stocking up on food for their family. We have many customers who look forward to participating in these events once a month.”
