ShieldCrest Publishing releases "Face At The Window" a stimulating and poignant book by Janet Wilson

Having been systematically abused as a child, the author spent her early years in care homes until being handed back for the abuse to start all over again. A personal account of those traumatic years

Oct. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Before writing this book only three people knew the author's story, two psychologists and a counsellor.  Even her own brothers and sister didn't know everything, as she never spoke about it. Not one of them ever asked her about her life while living in children's homes, or what took place between their parents and her when they were not around.  Friends that she has known for twenty and thirty years have no idea at all about her past, and they never will, therefore, all names in this story including her own have been changed.

At the age of five years, for the first time the author went to live with her family, all of whom were complete strangers to her.  For the following ten years she was systematically abused by both parents.

For short periods she went back into care but not for her own safety as the abuse was always kept secret.   Her parents told endless lies to the Social Services, about how badly behaved she was, to which she would confess because she wanted to go back into care.  The only happiness and feeling of being safe and secure she had came from the children’s homes.

Her story goes into great detail about the abuse and her private thoughts as a child.  She has now decided to share it in the belief there is a possibility that it could help others who are or have been in a similar situation
