His story recounts his travels, the ladies in his life and his fondness for a drink and tells of his life in Irish politics resulting in death threats against him.
While building bricks in all sorts of weather, he also managed a more steady side to his life when he got married and had three daughters.
After a career of 46 years, a combination of wear and tear coupled with the worst recession in living memory forced him into retirement but he never regrets a moment and now has more time to spend with his wonderful family and five grandchildren to date.
Danny says: Everyone has their life story to tell, this just happens to be mine in which I’ve loved and lost, lived and worked half way round the world, drank enough to sink a battleship, glad times and sad times and death threats made against me for my political beliefs for a united Ireland. I dedicate this book to my family and the many friends I have met in my travels round the world.
